I quit
At best my art and design is mediocre, it worst it's amateurish, irrelevant shit. I clearly don't have enough talent, skill, determination... whatever. I'm sick of trying to convince myself I'm an artist. I wanted to do work that was inspiring. It's not. I've been wasting my time for the last 20+ years. I quit.

Why are you so hard on yourself? You are so talented my friend you can paint and draw this amazing art. I wish I could paint or draw like that. Just because I can’t doesn’t mean that I go off and say oh I quit because I can’t draw as good as a lot of people. I just get on with it and create art with the skills I do have. Your art is far from mediocre my friend some of my favourite pieces of yours such as the “the thirsty wolf finds tea” and “welcome home” have blown me away because they are really good. If I wasn’t unemployed at the moment I would be making an offer for those pieces.
I think if you keep thinking something long enough you start to believe it. I think because you haven’t had a load of people say your great you’ve began to believe that your art is mediocre.
I think your art is great and I’m sure a lot of other people do as well.
Same again with your music, you are very talented. Who cares if you don’t have a band or money, a load of music artists start off with no money or band.

i agree with klink! you are waaaaay too talented to just give up. don't start thinking so negatively, you are a great artist/musician, it's just hard to penetrate all the white noise on the internet. but who cares? you enjoy creating, so just keep doing it! it would be a shame to see someone so talented give up. believe me, i know where you're coming from, but don't give up!
